Privacy Policy

Hero Havoc is designed to need as little information about you as possible. You do not create an account to play, and we do not ask for your name, address or payment details.

Progress stored on your device

Your coins, unlocked heroes, permanent boosts, best wave records, chosen difficulty, suit colours, aim mode and sound settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. That data never leaves your device on its own, we cannot read it, and clearing your browser data for this site erases it permanently.

Online co-op rooms

If you choose to play online co-op, the game creates a temporary room on our backend so players can join with a six-character code. That room stores only what the match needs: a random room code, an anonymous player ID generated for the session, the hero each player selected, ready state, and live gameplay positions while the match runs. There is no chat, no profile, no email address and no name. Rooms expire automatically and are removed after they are inactive.

Cookies and similar technologies

The game itself uses local storage for your progress and, during an online co-op session, a token that keeps your anonymous session alive. We do not use advertising cookies today. If we ever add advertising or third-party analytics, this page will be updated before it goes live and will name the provider and what it collects.

Children's privacy

Hero Havoc is made to be suitable for younger players: cartoon action with no blood or gore, no chat, no social features and no purchases. Because the game does not collect personal information, there is nothing for a child to submit to us.

Hosting and security

The site is served over HTTPS. Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard technical request information such as IP address and browser type in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Online co-op data is protected by access rules that only allow players in a room to read that room.

Your choices

  • • Reset your progress at any time from the in-game settings screen, or by clearing site data.
  • • Play solo only, and no data is ever sent to our backend.
  • • Ask us a privacy question through the contact page.

Changes to this policy

If how the game handles data changes — for example if accounts, leaderboards or advertising are added — this policy will be updated at the same time as the feature ships, and the change will be noted on the updates page.
