Strategy guide
Best Hero Havoc Heroes for Beginners
Beginner-friendly heroes in Hero Havoc share three traits: enough health to survive mistakes, a special that can get you out of trouble, and an attack that works without perfect positioning. These recommendations are strategy opinions based on each hero's actual stats.
1. Arachnyx — the best first hero
Arachnyx has 100 health, 235 speed and a 20% chance to ignore any hit through Spider Sense. Its special, Web Swing Dash, costs only 35 energy and recharges in 4 seconds — the cheapest special in the game — and grants a brief moment of invulnerability. Learning to dash through a closing ring of monsters is the most valuable defensive skill in Hero Havoc, and Arachnyx lets you practise it constantly.
The downside is damage: 12 per pellet, the lowest on the roster. That only becomes a problem on harder difficulties.
2. Titan — the safest body
Titan has the highest health in the game (170) and 15% armor. Many beginner deaths come from being clipped by a few monsters at once; Titan simply survives those moments. Its heavy fists pierce two monsters and its special knocks regular monsters away.
Titan is the slowest hero at 195 speed, so beginners must learn to walk early rather than run late.
3. Arrowstorm — the safest range
Arrowstorm fires arrows with great range and auto-slashes with a short sword when monsters get close. Inferno Arrowstorm targets villains across the arena and leaves burns ticking on them. Range lets you shoot from safety, which is exactly what a new player needs.
Starters to try second
Warden has superb piercing beams, but Crimson Overdrive's 8-second cooldown and stationary charge make it a hero for players who already understand spacing. Thunderborn is thrilling to play at 300 speed, but its 90 health and zero armor make every mistake costly.
Best first unlocks
Ion King costs 400 coins and plays like a ranged Titan, with 115 health, 10% armor and a damage-soaking aura. Hydro costs 500 and has the best crowd-control special for beginners: Tidal Burst shoves every nearby monster back and slows it.
Avoid Starborn and Prowler as early purchases unless you enjoy risk — Starborn has the lowest health in the game and Prowler is a melee hero.
Quick comparison
Most forgiving: Titan. Best escape: Arachnyx. Best range: Arrowstorm. Best first purchase: Ion King or Hydro. For every hero's playstyle ranking, see Heroes Ranked by Playstyle, or browse the full hero roster.
