Hero Havoc Heroes Ranked by Playstyle
There is no single best hero in Hero Havoc. These lists are strategy recommendations, not official rankings — they are based on each hero's health, speed, damage, attack interval, armor and special, which you can verify on every [hero page](/heroes).
Best for beginners
Arachnyx, Titan and Arrowstorm. Each combines a forgiving trait — invulnerable dash, 170 health or long range — with a simple plan. Read Best Heroes for Beginners for details.
Best boss damage
Starborn (20-damage fireballs and the Meteor Flare explosion), Prowler (24-damage melee swipes, the highest basic damage in the game) and Arrowstorm, whose Inferno Arrowstorm prioritises bosses and keeps burning them while you dodge. Starborn and Prowler are high risk; Arrowstorm is the safe choice.
Best crowd control
Best mobility
Thunderborn and Prowler share the top speed of 300. Frostflare (260) and Hydro (250) follow, and Arachnyx's dash adds burst movement on a 4-second cooldown.
Best survivability
Titan (170 health, 15% armor), Frostflare (140 health, 12% armor and health regeneration after avoiding damage) and Flamewing (125 health, 8% armor). Ion King's aura also soaks part of every hit.
Best high-risk playstyle
Starborn has 85 health and no armor but huge damage; Thunderborn has 90 health, no armor and the fastest attack; Prowler must fight in melee. All three are rewarding once you can dodge consistently.
Best for co-op
Pair a controller with a damage dealer. Hydro or Flamewing pushing monsters into a pile while Starborn or Wildcard unloads into it is one of the most effective team setups. Titan works as a front-line anchor. The Co-op Guide covers team roles.
Best for higher difficulties
On Legend and Nightmare, health drops fall to 60% and 50% of normal, and monster damage rises by 25% and 50%. Heroes that do not depend on healing shine: Frostflare's regeneration, Titan's health and armor, and Arrowstorm's range. See the Difficulty Guide.
